Alisa Thornton was appointed as a member of the PWC Community Service Board, in 2025.  Alisa is a proud wife, mother and grandmother. Her passion is deeply rooted inher personal experiences, which have fueled her desire to create positive change and support those in need. She is a well-known advocate in PWC working with many organizations that directly impact families and individuals in crisis. Her work is particularly focused on issues surrounding disabilities and mental health, and she is a strong supporter and volunteer for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She is also the Chair of the Virginia Department of Social Services Advocacy Council.

Her professional background as a dedicated Realtor with REAL Broker LLC provides her with a unique perspective of housing stability within the community. She lives and has a business based in Prince William County.

Recognized for her tireless efforts, Alisa received the Governor's Volunteerism & Community Service Award for Outstanding Adult in 2024. Through her advocacy, she strives to ensure that everyone, regardless of their challenges, has the support and resources they need to thrive.
